Second Life: Black Sheer Dotted Dress

Dear friends,

What would you do if you have a dress that is torn and worn out?

In the past (during my grandma era) where everyone possessed the skill to tailor-make their daily apparel, Chinese families would save their leftover fabric for patchwork blankets (百家被).

Nothing goes to waste.

With the same intention, I gathered scrap fabric from my previous craft projects and began to do some repair work on this cotton black sheer dotted dress.

She is broken, covered with layers of spider web and dust. And patchwork would provide her with a new lease of life.
worn and torn
Cutting scraps into a round dots to patch on top of the dress
Securing patchwork with the whip stitch, and she's ready to reborn.
